Qualcomm's Next-Gen Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3: Unveiling Performance Powerhouses

Discovering the Differences between the New Qualcomm Processors and their Advantages in Speed and Performance

Those of you interested in a rather powerful device may be interested to know that Qualcomm has two new chipsets up its sleeve. Those two chipsets are the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. With the less then stellar adoption of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 this year, chances are this is a well awaited offering by our favorite OEMs.

Leaks discovered most recently seem as if the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 might be very similar however with closer examination, many differences can be found which could have significant impacts of the performance of the phones.

Regarding CPUs, the chipsets have a lot to offer. In the line of duty is the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, which totes a Cortex-X4 core set at 2.9GHz, which the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 leads with the same core, also being clocked at a healthy 3.01GHz. This core is complemented with Cortex-A720 cores, running at a typically higher speed in the 7+ Gen 3, 2.6GHz, instead of the 2.61GHz found in the 8s Gen 3.

Another notable chip characteristic is the frequency of the Cortex-A520 cores; the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 operates at up to 1.84 GHz, whereas the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 offers a higher 1.9 GHz. These details remain consistent with all previous leaks, suggesting that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is expected to offer somewhat better peak performance and efficiency in day-to-day operation while the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is a nice horse to bet on.

On the GPU front, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 gets an Adreno 732, while the Snapdragon 8s gets an Adreno 735. While the Snapdragon 8s does get the slightly better GPU, the difference may not be significant enough for consumers to care about very much.

In conclusion, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, from Qualcomm, are going to bring some fast performance and reliability to the table, giving its users more options than ever before!
